The book You Are Special, written by Max Lucado tells the story of the Wemmicks… a people who reward performance, talent, and good looks with gold stars—and give ugly grey dots to anyone not “up to standard”. Punchinello had lots of grey dots. One day, he met Lucia, a very happy and light-hearted girl, who had no grey dots… and no gold stars either. Her secret is something we all need to hear….

We are special. We don’t have to perform or strive for success. We can rest in the love of our Creator. We don’t have to live with the labels the world may put on us. We can live free from the fear that drives us.

But the roots of performance orientation, people pleasing and striving go deep within each one of us. Labels hurt, and stick, and are hard to remove. Old ways and habits are hard to get rid of.

This workshop will help you to…

o Understand where the roots of performance orientation/striving/busyness/ lack of peace come from… and how they affect you and the people around you.

The workshop will include lecture, demonstration, testimonies, corporate healing and prophetic ministry.

SANDRA BIO

Sandra served on staff with John and Paula Sandford and Elijah House Ministries, USA for 9 years. Sandra married her husband Peter in 2011 relocating to New Zealand, and establishing her own ministry, House of Nacham. (Nacham is a Hebrew word which means to comfort, console, to have compassion for; to repent, to have a change of heart, mind, conduct and purpose.)

Sandra has presented conferences, seminars and Elijah House schools in 14 countries, and has specialized in the area of trauma resolve since 2005.

She has taken trauma teams to Christchurch after the 2011 earthquake, international trauma teams into the typhoon Haiyan ravaged areas of the Philippines, areas destroyed by the 2013 earthquake in Bohol, Native American villages in Alaska, and trained counsellors and worked with women rescued from the sex trade in India. Recently she and her teams ministered to New Zealanders affected by Cyclone Gabriel.
