Unit 2 Course Topics:
- Repentance and Restitution: God has given us the gifts of repentance and restitution in order that we might be healed of the wounds caused by sin. Without them, we would suffer as both victim and offender, with no hope of release. This topic provides understanding of what true repentance and restitution are.
- Performance Orientation: The constant tendency of the born anew is to fall back into striving by human effort. Our minds and spirits know the free gift of salvation, but our hearts retain their habit to earn love by performing. We live unaware that motives other than God’s love have begun to corrupt our serving through striving, tension and fear. There is a way to escape that trap.
- Parental Inversion and Substitute Mate: Parental inversion is not an easy sin to hate. The difficulty is that it has become for many the most noble definition of life; the sacrifice and service it involves are readily justified by Scripture. But God asks us to lay down our lives for others for His sake, rather than out of the impure motives of our wounded hearts.
- Basic Trust: Basic trust is the fundamental building block of all human relationships and is accomplished within the first mental year. A break in the first mental year causes a break all through life. You will learn how God can heal this wound and how to build strong foundations of trust again.
- Identifications of Love: On our own, we are not capable of loving as God loves. When we try to love in our flesh, we limit love’s expression. God wants to bring our versions of love to death on the cross. This teaching is about identifications of love. These identifications are ‘packages’ of specific words, gestures, actions and attitudes that we deem to be love. Formed from childhood, these ‘packages’ are idols that define and limit our idea of what true love is; they almost assuredly deny us the full joy of giving and receiving it. When we demand our identifications of love from those around us, we defile the very relationships we value most. God desires to bring freedom to both receive and express His love in its many forms.
- Recognition of Fruit to Root: A prayer minister must look, as God does, upon the heart. We must learn the importance of listening and establishing the trust necessary to allow people to share their lives. Sensitive listening occurs in three ways: we listen with our minds; with our empathic personal spirits; and with an ear to what God wants to tell us. Our listening results in information-gathering which will lead us to areas of woundedness, helping us to recognize fruit-to-root patterns.
Keys to Transformation Course Goals:

“We want to invite you to join us in the Elijah House Transforming Hearts Seminar – A one-day event for every believer no matter your age or stage of life
Scripture says in Proverbs ‘Out of the heart flow the issues of life’, so any issue we face in life comes from the heart first.
Jesus said in Luke 6:45 ‘Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks’. So, if you want to know how you are doing and what is happening on the inside, the words that come out of your mouth will give you a good indication.
Even after giving your life to Christ, we can still feel stuck and struggle with inner battles like fear responses, or anxiety, or strained relationships…
You’re not alone. Many Christians experience this tension. The Transforming Hearts Seminar is a one-day event designed to help you understand why these struggles happen and how the healing power of Jesus can bring real and lasting breakthrough.
What is it about?
This seminar isn’t just about learning more theology or trying harder to change behaviour. It’s about heart transformation and partnering with the Holy Spirit to bring healing to the deeper places of your life.
You’ll gain biblical understanding and Elijah House practical tools to:
- Identify blockages that keep you from walking in freedom
- Bring your wounds and stuck places to the cross
- Receive Jesus’ healing, peace, and freedom
- Live as a son or daughter — not an orphan
- Walk alongside others in their healing journey
This seminar will not just help and equip you in your own life and relationships. It will empower you to love others in their struggles and journey with them to healing.
This is about you walking into a greater experience of the abundant life Jesus died and rose for (John 10:10)
What will the day be like?
The day includes:
- Biblical teaching from experienced Elijah House presenters
- Personal reflection to help apply what you learn
- Ministry time to encounter Jesus and invite His healing
- Practical tools you can use in daily life and relationships
Morning and Afternoon tea will be provided. Lunch will be BYO, or support a local food outlet.
This is a space where you’re invited to slow down, reflect, and experience transformation in a safe, Spirit-led environment.
Why come?
If you’re feeling stuck, discouraged, or simply hungry for deeper healing and transformation from the inside-out, this day is for you.
Whether you’re a new believer or a seasoned leader, the Transforming Hearts Seminar will help you:
- Break cycles that keep you from walking in fullness
- Experience real freedom through the cross
- Be equipped to minister healing to others
Jesus came to heal the broken-hearted Luke 4:18. If we are going to heal the world, we need to know His healing for us and others. Many of us long to change the world with Jesus, but feel held back by personal struggles. This is your invitation to get free and walk forward in the calling and purpose you were made for.
